This tour lasts about 90 minutes and includes both interior and exterior access. Grounds access for the day is included in this ticket. You do NOT need to purchase an additional Grounds Access ticket to enjoy the grounds.

Enjoy the grounds of Farnsworth House for walking, quiet reflection, or picnicking on the lawn. No alcoholic beverages permitted on-site. Edith Farnsworth’s Country House – the temporary refurnishing of Farnsworth House to its 1955 appearance – may be viewed outside the home and from the upper terrace, using our online exhibition guide. No interior tours will be given of the Farnsworth House. We ask that children be supervised at all times and NEVER left unattended on the terraces of the house.

Starting in August 2020 we will offer special guided tours of Farnsworth House, focused on Dr. Farnsworth’s life and times – and the current furnishing of the House as it appeared in early 1955. Although Mies van der Rohe had specified furniture of his own design, Dr. Farnsworth preferred Scandinavian Modern furniture by Jens Risom, Bruno Mathsson, Florence Knoll and other top designers. Tours include 20 minutes interior access and up to 60 minutes exterior.
