Farnsworth House is located on a 62 acre secured private estate. During
most of the year it cannot be seen from the road. The only legal access
to the property is through one of the tour options outlined below. RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED! We make no guarantee of access
without an advance ticket purchase. Please note that all ticket
purchases are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued.

Tours/Ticket
Information
Park at the Visitors’ Center located at Gate 1 and come inside to check in. Tours begin at their scheduled time, leaving from the Visitor Center on a stroll along the scenic river path. Please wear weather appropriate attire and comfortable walking shoes which you will be asked to remove for the interior part of the tour. The journey includes a mile of walking (see Accessibility tab if this distance is a concern) and will be conducted rain or shine. A short presentation in the visitors’ center can be enjoyed by guests before or after the tour. Accompany an experienced docent for a fascinating discussion about the history of the Farnsworth House. This tour lasts between 60 plus minutes and includes both interior and exterior access. Additional time at the end of the tour allows visitors to casually enjoy the exterior and the surrounding property.

Accessibility Challenged
The Farnsworth House site contains many obstacles to accommodating visitors with accessibility challenges, but the staff will do their best to meet your needs provided we receive advanced notice. If you are challenged by the long walk to the house or have difficulty standing for the 60 minute tour or are unable to ascend and descend the 8 steps, we would like to know in advance.

Photography
We encourage you to take photographs of the Farnsworth House’s exterior and grounds for your personal use, without the assistance of a tripod. However, no photographs, videos, CDs, multimedia, or images of any kind of the Farnsworth House, grounds, and property therein are allowed to be taken for commercial uses of any kind, or for any other use without the
express written permission of the Farnsworth House or National Trust for Historic Preservation as owner/operator of the House.
Interior photographs of the House for personal use require the signing of a
photography policy. Photography permits are
available for the following
tours.
• Guided Tour (Weekdays Only): Interior Photography time 5 minutes - $10
