Travel east on I-64 (which changes to I-55 over the Mississippi River) toward Illinois. Take I-55 north.

Option A: In Bloomington take I-39 (US-51) going north. Exit US-34 east to Plano. In Plano turn right onto S. Ben Street which turns into Fox River Road (CR-15). Turn left onto River Road and drive east to the Farnsworth House Visitor Center.

Option B: Continue on I-55. Next exit IL-47 north toward Yorkville. Look for River Street just after the bridge over the Fox River in Yorkville. Turn left onto River Street/River Road. Drive west to the Farnsworth House Visitor Center.

The Farnsworth House is approximately 272 miles northeast from St. Louis. Travel time is approximately 4.5 hours depending on traffic.
