House is located approximately
Midway Airport / South Loop
From Midway Airport or the south Loop: Travel south on I-55 to Hwy. 126, the Plainfield exit. Continue on Hwy 126 through Plainfield to Yorkville. At Hwy 47 in Yorkville turn north (right) and proceed across the Fox River. At the intersection of Hwy. 47 and Hwy. 34 turn left heading west. Go 2 miles and turn left on Eldamain Rd. When the road dead-ends, turn right on River Rd. and go approximately 2 miles. The Farnsworth House Visitor Center will be the first open gate in the black chain link fence on the left.
Chicagoland travel time varies with Traffic. Travel time could be anywhere between 1.25 and 1.75 hours from the Loop.
